Public Speaking & Presentation Skills

1. Dare To Speak™ Public Speaking Programme

This is ProSkills Trainers' signature training programme.

Dare To Speak™ is a 2-day intensive programme intended to give the participant an overview of the elements of a good speech, actual practice to gain confidence as well as expert advice and guidance for the journey forward. It's an ideal all-in-one programme for anyone taking first steps to be an outstanding speaker and communicator in English. Topics covered include overcoming nervousness, speech organization, body language, vocal variety and correct English pronunciation.

The programme employs adult learning techniques which include active learning strategies where participants will spend 80% of the time in personal or group activities. The number of participants is limited to 15 (or 10 for public programmes) to ensure personal attention for each participant. This programme has received very positive reviews from past participants and sponsoring organizations.

We conduct this programme for adults and students. Our clients include the corporate and the government sectors, educational establishments and others. We open this programme to the public for 4 categories of individuals - Executives & Professional (working adults), College & University Students, Secondary School Students and Primary School Children.

2. The Complete Presenter™: Mastering PowerPoint & Visual Aids

This 1-day programme is open only to graduates of the Dare To Speak™ Public Speaking Programme. Having learned the basic presentation skills in Dare To Speak™, participants here learn to effectively employ visual aids in their presentations. The main focus is on using PowerPoint.

5. Present & Win™ Business Presentation Skills Programme

This is a 3-day programme which is a special package covering the Dare To Speak™ Public Speaking Programme (basic presentation skills) plus modules from The Complete Presenter™ (PowerPoint skills) and Dare To Sell™ (selling skills).

This programme is available for in-house training only.

6. Formula 8 + 8™ Public Speaking Programme

This 1-day programme is specially designed for large groups with limited time. It distils the most essential points into 16 distinct and very specific "skills" which can be mastered in 1 day (8 skills at level 1 and 8 skills at level 2). Compared to Dare To Speak™, it produces faster visible results but at the cost of providing a comprehensive understanding of public speaking.

This programme is available for in-house training only.

Pengucapan Awam

1. Kursus Pengucapan Awam Bebas Bersuara™

This is the Malay language version of the Dare To Speak™ Public Speaking Programme. The syllabus is the same except that it is conducted in Bahasa Malaysia.

English

1. The Sound of English I™: Rewiring to Pronounce Keywords Correctly

It is well known that most Malaysians pronounce English poorly. This happens at 2 different levels. Non-English speakers pronounce words way out of line. Even the so-called English speakers pronounce English words in a Malaysian way. This 2-day intensive programme focuses on the first group. It helps participants to correct the pronunciation of at least 100 keywords that are frequently used in the working environment.

This programme is open to the public and available for in-house training.

2.The Sound of English II™: Relearning English Pronunciation

This 2-day programme targets those who normally converse in English but still need to improve their English pronunciation (2nd group mentioned under The Sound of English I™). This is because when we speak English, we tend to import the sounds in our respective mother tongues into English. This programme will create an awareness of the common pronunciation mistakes made by Malaysians and highlight several key areas for improvement that will enable participants to sound dramatically better in a short time. Participants will also be taught to read the International Phonetic Alphabet used in English dictionaries.

This programme is open to the public and available for in-house training.

3. The English Express™ English Programmes

This is a series of three 2-day intensive programmes for support staff and lower management employees (or higher) who require ready-to-use English language skills. It aims to help participants overcome the fear of English and to enable them to communicate confidently in English in the shortest possible time. This is not a formal English language course. Instead, participants learn mainly through active participation in activities.

The English Express I™: Speaking English Today focuses on basic grammar and speaking skills.

The English Express II™: Speaking Better English focuses on intermediate grammar and speaking skills.

The English Express III™: Writing in English focuses solely on writing skills.

The English Express™ is not open to the public but is very popular with corporate clients.
